JAPANESE LACQUERED BAMBOO WICKER WEDDING BASKET

An antique Japanese covered lacquered bamboo wicker wedding basket with a handle. The basket is decorated with the traditional ornaments on the borders. The cover is made in a star wicker motif, adorned with a loop, and a bowed handle. Circa: late 19th century. Marked with four Hieroglyph character mark, on the bottom.
